150 objects from 25 little-known ethnic groups in central Nigeria. The first major international exhibition to present a comprehensive view of the arts of the region. Organized by the Fowler Museum at UCLA in association with the Musée du quai Branly, Paris, from their collections and also with works from the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Barbier-Mueller Museum in Geneva, Berlin’s Museum of Ethnology, and private European and American collections.
CATALOGUE
A 680-page publication accompanies the exhibition, paperback $75, edited by Marla C. Berns, Richard Fardon and Sidney Littlefield Kasfir. Available in the Center Bookshop.
