Rodin by Moonlight
September 29, 2007

This year marks the 7th presentation of Rodin by Moonlight, the Cantor Arts Center’s spectacular biennial black-tie fundraiser.  The first of these events took place in 1987 to raise funds to place lights in the Rodin Sculpture Garden at the Stanford Museum. After the museum closed for nearly ten years after the 1989 earthquake, Membership brought Rodin by Moonlight back in 1999.  Over the last 20 years this signature event has raised nearly three quarters of a million dollars to support the Center’s exhibitions and educational outreach to the community.

This year promises to offer the most spectacular Rodin by Moonlight yet.  The evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by a sophisticated dining experience, created exclusively for Rodin by Moonlight by a noteworthy guest chef Douglas Kean of Cyrus, working with Paula Le Duc Fine Catering.  Following dinner, guests will dance the night away to the eclectic sounds of David Martin’s House Party.  Neiman Marcus Palo Alto returns as a generous sponsor, and Gentry Magazine joins us this year with a special edition featuring Rodin by Moonlight.

This year’s Rodin by Moonlight Committee is Melissa Badger, Stefanie Lingle Beasley, Mary Linn Coldiron, Charlene Cogan, Julie Terrell Hooper, Jacque Jarve, Sandy Levison, Lisa Mooring, Wendy Rohn, and Kathy Wiggans.
