Since ancient times, artists have created tools to help them interpret the world around them. You can also make and use artists' tools! Our activity is inspired by Jennifer Bartlett's artwork At the Lake, Morning, from the Anderson Collection. This painting is made up of sections that form a grid. Artists have found that a grid is a helpful creative tool.
A viewfinder helps artists visualize compositions and make amazing artwork. Gather these supplies: string, thread or floss, paper, scissors, ruler and tape. And join us for Second Sunday art-making fun!
You can register for the event here. We encourage you to register to interact with the Second Sunday team during the event. You will be able to ask questions, get one-on-one tips and enjoy an enhanced experience. Alternatively, the session will be streamed via our Facebook page.
