Mellon Curatorial Research Assistantships at the Cantor Arts Center

Please note that we are not accepting submissions for the Mellon Curatorial Research Assistantships at this time.

With generous support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Cantor Arts Center, in collaboration with the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University, is pleased to offer two Curatorial Research Assistantships annually.

Each Curatorial Research Assistant works with museum education staff and a Stanford faculty member to develop an exhibition and related publication. During the course of the assistantship, students collaborate with museum curators, conservators, registrars, and members of the collections, exhibitions, and marketing teams.

Open to Stanford PhD students in Art History and Film Studies, the program supports the development of valuable writing, scholarly, and curatorial skills. Applications for the 2020-2021 academic year are now available via the Department of Art & Art History.
