Founded when the university opened in 1891, the Cantor Arts Center is an established resource for teaching and research on campus, and for the broader Bay Area community. The Cantor’s collection spans 5,000 years and includes 41,000 works of art from around the globe, and the museum presents some 15 special exhibitions each year. In 2014, the Anderson Collection at Stanford University opened next to the Cantor Arts Center, featuring a world-class collection of modern and contemporary American paintings and sculpture including Bay Area Figuration, Abstract Expressionism, and Light and Space Minimalism.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Strategic Partnerships for the Cantor and the Anderson, the Digital Marketing Coordinator (Temporary/Part Time) will support both the Cantor Arts Center (85% time commitment) and the Anderson Collection (15% time commitment), working to develop, align, and implement communication strategies that advance the missions of the two Stanford art museums and engage diverse audiences.This role is part-time and contingent, and requires approximately 20 hours per week. Additional hours may be required depending on needs. The hourly rate of pay is estimated at $32-$38 per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience.
