Honoring Ruth Asawa

The Museums by Moonlight gala will posthumously honor Ruth Asawa. Her legacy as an extraordinary artist and tireless advocate for arts education perfectly embodies the missions of the Cantor Arts Center and Anderson Collection at Stanford University.

Supporting Our Mission

Support from this gala directly benefits the extraordinary depth and breadth of visual arts programs serving the Stanford campus, greater Bay Area community, and beyond. The impact of these programs extends to K-12 schools in three counties; Stanford students, staff, and faculty; and members of the general public from across the nation and around the globe.

Specifically, support from Museums by Moonlight makes the following possible—and so much more:

  • Free admission for all visitors year-round
  • Free school programs and tours for K-12 students
  • Free museum engagement guide tours, talks in the galleries, and art-making activities
  • Free digital programs to complement on-site visits
  • Free exhibition publications to extend the museum experience
