Conceptual artist Bruce Nauman created the five-silkscreen set Studies for Holograms in 1970, at a moment when he took a boundary-breaking turn toward new technology. The humorous images speak to Nauman’s exploration of art media and also document his ongoing exploration of the human body as an endless source of pliable art materials.
