We’re excited to introduce digital membership cards as a benefit of your Cantor-Anderson membership! Scroll down to view some commonly asked questions that will help you understand how to take full advantage of your new digital card.

What are digital membership cards?

Starting on February 1, 2021, the Cantor Arts Center and Anderson Collection at Stanford University will offer digital membership cards to all new and renewing members, which can be downloaded and saved to your iPhone, Android, or other smartphone. In addition to being more environmentally friendly, going digital means you never have to worry about forgetting your membership card.

 

How can I use my digital membership card?

Your digital membership card is unique to your membership and displays your full name, membership level, and expiration date. To redeem member discounts on publications and at the Cantor Cafe, simply show your digital membership card to museum or cafe staff upon request.

 

How do I receive my digital membership card?

Once you join or renew your membership, both you and any secondary member in your household will receive an email with a link to download your digital membership card. You’ll need to open the email containing your digital card on your mobile device and follow the instructions to download the card. Your card will automatically be stored in your iPhone or Android’s wallet app.

 

How do I add the membership card to my iPhone?

  • Open the email containing your digital card on your iPhone and click the “DOWNLOAD” button
  • Select “Add to Wallet”
  • When prompted, select “Add”
  • Your digital membership card will automatically download to the Apple Wallet app!

How do I add the membership card to my Android phone?

  • Download Wallet Passes from Google Play
  • Open the email containing your digital card on your smartphone and click the “DOWNLOAD” button
  • Access to your card can be found through your Wallet Passes app!

I don’t have a mobile phone, what can I do?

Please contact membership at twomuseums@stanford.edu or 650.723.3482 to request a paper card.

 

Once I join or renew my membership, how long will it take to receive my digital membership card in my email?

Your digital membership cards will arrive at your primary email address 2-3 weeks from the date on which your payment was received.

 

I am a current member; can I request a digital membership card?

Yes! Please call or email us at: 650.723.3482 or twomuseums@stanford.edu.Otherwise, your digital card will be available when you next renew your membership.

 

How do I access the wallet on my smartphone?

To access the digital card in your Apple or Android Wallet, swipe down from the middle of your phone’s home screen. Tap the search field, then enter “wallet.” Tap the wallet icon that appears and you will be able to access your digital card.

 

Will my digital card update when I renew my membership?

Yes! Your expiration date and membership level will automatically update the next time you renew or upgrade your membership. This means that you only have to download the card once!

 

How will my reciprocal benefits work when visiting other museums?

All members have reciprocal privileges at over 80 college and university museums through the College and University Art Museums Reciprocal Program. You can access the list of participating museums by following the link on the back of your digital membership card. Show your digital membership card at participating museums to receive free admission and other reciprocal benefits.

Enthusiast level Cantor-Anderson members and above receive additional reciprocal member benefits, you can find more details here.

The digital cards for Enthusiast members and above will have NARM and ROAM banners displayed on the front of their digital membership card. You can access the list of participating museums by following the link on the back of your digital membership card. Simply show the front of your digital card at participating museums to receive free or reduced admission!

 

I’d prefer a printed membership card, what should I do?

My name is spelled wrong/membership level is incorrect.

Please contact membership at twomuseums@stanford.edu or 650.723.3482 and we will be happy to make the correction.

 

Will the second person on my membership also receive a digital membership card?

Yes, each member will receive a unique digital membership card via email. If a membership with two members has only one email address on record, then both digital membership cards will be sent to the member’s email address we have on file. Members can then forward the email or use the share feature of the wallet app to ensure that the second person on the membership receives their digital membership card.

 

I downloaded my card but I can’t find it.

If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card and scroll through any cards that are already downloaded. If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.


 

I am not sure I received my digital card. Can you send it again?

Yes! Please contact membership at twomuseums@stanford.edu or 650.723.3482 and we can resend the email for you to download and enjoy your digital membership card. You may also want to check the Junk, Spam, and Unwanted folders of your email.

*We recommend that you add membership@cuseum.com to your safe senders list. Your membership cards will be sent to your inbox from this address.

 

Can I update the email address(es) associated with my membership?

Yes! Please contact membership at twomuseums@stanford.edu or 650.723.3482 to update your information. Please also review and update your contact information as you renew your membership.
